Overview
AthleteCreed ("we," "our," or "us") is a strength and conditioning platform built for scholastic athletics. We take the privacy of our users — especially our student-athlete users who may be under 18 — seriously.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When an account is created by a coach or school administrator, we store: full name, email address, and role (coach, athlete, parent, or administrator). Student-athlete accounts are created by authorized school staff.
Training Data
We collect workout logs, exercise performance data, personal records, body weight entries, readiness check-ins, and attendance records entered by coaches and athletes during normal use of the platform.
Form Check Videos
Athletes may upload videos of exercise form for coach review. These videos are stored on our servers and visible only to the athlete and their coaches.
Device Information
When using our mobile app, we may collect a push notification token to send training reminders and coach messages. We do not collect device IDs, advertising identifiers, or location data.
How We Use Information
- To provide the training platform and track athletic progress
- To enable communication between coaches, athletes, and parents
- To generate leaderboards, progress reports, and performance analytics
- To send push notifications about workouts, messages, and announcements
- To award badges and track gamification achievements
Who Can See Your Data
Data is scoped to your school. Coaches and administrators at your school can view athlete training data. Parents linked to a student-athlete can view that athlete's progress. Athletes can see team leaderboards. System administrators can access all data for platform support.
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Children's Privacy (COPPA)
AthleteCreed is used by middle school and high school athletes, some of whom may be under 13. Student accounts are created by school coaches or administrators — not by the students themselves. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without school/parental authorization. Schools using AthleteCreed are responsible for obtaining necessary parental consent under FERPA and COPPA.
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and role-based access controls. Training data is stored on secured servers with restricted access.
Data Retention
Account and training data is retained as long as the school's subscription is active. Schools may request deletion of all associated data. Individual users may request deletion of their account by contacting their school administrator.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting your school administrator or emailing us directly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform.
